I grew up in a family that everyone thought was perfect, my dad was a very successful doctor, and my birth vessel, I refuse to call her my mother, was a drug counselor. We were highly involved in our church, with my dad holding the highest position you could, without being the pastor, and my birth vessel held the female equivalent. Everything looked so perfect. We had a huge house and nice cars, but we also had secrets. My dad was a prescription drug addict, as if that was somehow better than street drugs, and my birth vessel was a narcissistic, controlling and mean person who pretended to be a saint. I needed counseling desperately because I was so depressed and wanted to unalive myself, but that wasn’t allowed because I would share all of our secrets. Thank God I finally escaped. My dad passed away due to the drugs, and I cut my birth vessel out of my life, and I now live a very happy life. Thanks so much Dhar Mann for presenting a story that shows that money doesn’t buy happiness, peace of mind is all you really need.
