Super closure and associated slurping are growing on me very rapidly as a teaching tool. This lecture is a gift to the match community as always.

@@billkinneymath Just an update dear professor, I made it! So long story short, I took the "Algebraic Structures" at my uni (I'm based in Sweden) took the first attempt final exam, and failed miserably... After watching your course, especially the part focused on Rings, I could fully understand the topic, and voila! The second and final attempt was 4 of 6 questions ring topics (1st iso theorem, prove that a given set is a ring, the ideals, etc). Can thank you enough for allowing us to take a look at your course and sharing light on topics that at first glance are not so obvious to understand, furthermore master.

I think at 18:48 there's an error. An Ideal Is not Always a subring. If It Is a subring It contains the 1 and so every element of the ring R Is in the Ideal. Ideal=ring.

I think the textbook I use for the course takes the perspective that rings don't have to have a unity, so subrings don't have to have 1 either. (pun alert! 😀)
