Billlie "The Billage of Perception: Chapter Two" Album Reaction (With My Dad!!)

I went with my mum to see them in London in July... she already loved them, though, and knew what to expect. 2:10 Yeah, even when you're new to the group, Sua's almost always one of the first voices you're gonna nail down. 2:50 That's Sheon there, I think. 4:25 My story with Billlie is that I casually liked them for quite a while, but hadn't really dived in... I actually think it was GingaMingaYo that gave me pause. But I'd enjoyed Ring X Ring, Snowy Night and Patbingsu a lot. I was actually supposed to see them at a festival in London in July '22, but they had to pull out last minute (guarantee, if I'd have seen them then, I'd have been an instant Belllie've). But a little while after Ring ma Bell came out, I decided I liked _enough_ that I fancied doing a deep dive, so I actually bought all the digital albums to download, put them on my phone, and started listening to the whole lot on my bus journeys to work. When I heard B'rave, I instantly had to go back and listen to it again, and then a third time. This was the song that pulled me from "in", to *_IN._* It earwormed me for a solid _month,_ and the Nylon performance video was the one that cemented Siyoon as my bias and Eye Magnet™; it's also one of the first videos I show people to educate them in the ways of Billlie... 7:05 It was also that same video where I first appreciated all that gorgeous vocal layering, and how you could _see_ them harmonising, two or three members at a time (and in some songs you see even _more_ of them overlapping). Quality vocal harmonies are one of my musical weak points, and Billlie have them in _spades._ 8:25 Honestly, I've yet to hear a Billlie track yet that I haven't loved. There's a small handful that haven't got to me on the _very first_ listen, but even then, it doesn't take long. 12:40 Yeah, Sun Palace is an absolute treat. You can hear how it's _related_ to Moon Palace (which is another one high on my list), without being a straight-up clone... 13:05 This is even better with headphones, because that "tick tock" actually travels; the "tick" comes in one ear, while the "tock" comes in the other... 13:45 I'm getting an airdrum kit soon, and I can easily see this being really fun to play... 17:30 Funny you should mention Itzy; I _kinda_ get it here now you mention it, but in my early days, it was GingaMingaYo that reminded me of Itzy, but in a way that kinda turned me off it. 18:20 It actually came out in September '22. 😂 This is actually their fansong for this album, dedicated to us, and co-lyricked by the girls. I'm not even sure what my favourite _album_ is, to be honest. I _think_ it might be BoP Chapter 3, but their latest, For All We Have Lost, gives it a real run for its money, especially with tracks like Trampoline and Bluerose...
