Hi... Great tutorial. Thank you. I've been able to free all my butterfly joints without opening the figure through a series of hot water and freezing cycles. First I use soap and hot water to work the joints slightly. Second, I freeze the figure. Later, I use soap and hot water again, while CAREFULLY and GENTLY working the joints. After hot water, I let the figure reach room temp and gently try the joints again. Sometimes you here the pop as the joint frees. If not, I repeat the process. The idea is that the peg and socket will expand and contract at different rates and separate without breaking. I have fixed all my joints this way. Good luck!

I use a small dab of superglue and constantly move the joint back and forth while the glue dries. This can take several tries sometimes as you don't want to add too much at a time to be safe.

@TrippleDipple_9 that would be on the peg of the joint. Honestly I'd replace the peg with a screw head. You need to cut the screw shorter.

Great video but it gets me mad that hasbro doesn’t fix their quality control with their figures. We shouldn’t do these complex modifications to fix our figures, hasbro should learn from their mistakes and fix their quality control.

I love the use of the tiny eye hooks! I'll be using that for peg fixes from now on. Great idea! And why no eye protection with the dremel? One little piece of sanded metal in the eye, and you will have been better off buying a new figure versus fixing a broke one. Lol

I used a small flat head screwdriver and pried it open from the bottom. Does that answer your question?

It happens to my Superior Spider-Man butterfly joint on the left. It just stuck & broken, and his left leg swivel peg is just got crack and it easy to come off.

how can you fix bicep swivel if its tight and DW doesn't work? My Thor broke altogether and I dont want to super glue but how can you fix a riped off peg from the bicep?

Putting a screw into a peg might be a good way to expand the peg a little wider for a better fit on loose joints?

SuperSoldier IV absolutely. it really depends on how small of a hole you dremel. smaller the hole, the more the peg will expand.

Not to my knowledge. They're not meant to come out, so the only way I personally know of is to open the figure to free the peg/joint.

Hot water always works, not quite boiling but hot, dipp the joint you want to loosen for about 10- 20 seconds pull it out and try slowly an little by little to move joint.

It is the same mold. People seem to associate the mold with the "Pizza Spidey" name, so I titled it as such. The repair works on the mold of all figures that are made with it.

Billy Mahoney this mold was also used on the 2099 spidey, a mold that was based off of the superior Spider-Man figure with the arms and legs, not the torso which was elongated.
