Hi Bill I just orded a SJRC F22 vS2 Pro they recon they go over 4kl they have a WIFI Repeater I think it retransmitts the video to the phone but I cant find out if the phone talks to the controler on 2Gig or 5 Gig and If the controler talks to the drone on 5 or 4 Gig Im a comms Teck so understand the limitation of this Fx and WIFI.

Hi, I am not exactly sure how this works myself to be honest, but it seems that the radio controller 2.4ghz signal is connected and transmitted through the phone instead of directly with the drone,...whether this is converted into a 5ghz wifi signal, gps protocol or mobile network protocol I do not know.

@@BillMRC Thanks Bill I have orded a new phone that will do 5G and 2.4G amd ac wifi so i think I have all bases covered but when I get the Done i will be able to monitor what is connected to what and ill let you know Maybe It is also some communications going on in the USB plug into the phone. It does make sence to communicate with the drone on 5G and from the conttroler to drone but how the phone conects is a bt of a mystery. Thanks for your help.

I was under the impression that the phone connects to the controller through wifi, and the controller communicates to the drone. So are you saying both the phone and controller communicate to the drone? That may be the case, but I have doubts about it. The SJRC F11s has a 3 kilometer range. I'm no expert, but for wifi to go even half that distance reliably and consistently seems unrealistic. How do these drones, controllers and phones interact? That's what I would like to have a clearer picture of.

Hi, most drones connect between the radio controller & drone using a 2.4 ghz analog signal for control. The SJRC F11s & a few other drones do connect through the radio controller for camera feeds acting as "booster". This may help clarify this further,... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2bZY3xvaNiAh9U

I commented on your last video regarding range v mobile, I have no issue as my Mi android performs well to my line of sight limit. Many cheap 10" tablets are now available from China, Ali etc. Choose one with 5g ac spec. (most I notice do nowadays) and fit a 5 or 6db external antenna and a more useable screen size as well.

I do not think fitting a 5 or 6db antenna is worth the effort. Screen size is a personal preference.

Hi Thorsten, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated my friend :-) I have seen so many wifi fpv range tests but none take into consideration, state or share the mobile device used.
