A pic of a list got leaked shortly after or before the draft. School names were written on a whiteboard in the Bills facility 1-5. Wyoming was at the top. Arizona supposedly really wanted Allen too and took Rosen because the Bills jumped them.

Yeah, they ragged on him unnecessarily for years, and were the merchants really harping on his inaccuracy narrative that the media latched onto for years. Watching college film, it was clear the ‘inaccuracies’ were a combo of really poor players and fixable footwork issues. Nothing that extreme as the media portrayed it. Other thing that was really annoying: Allen’s first year had a horrible WR core and a pretty bad offensive line. He also made a massive jump in performance and play post injury, and his statistics mid year were really good for a rookie especially throwing to no name WRs. The FO fixed each component by Y2 to an extent, but the FO did Allen no favors in how they didn’t set him up for success (everyone outside Buffalo forgets they literally started the season thinking Nathan Peterman was good enough to be a starter…..🙃
