This reminds me of sledding. In that it's a lot of work for a very short reward. The sliding, which is the fun part, is over in seconds, but then you have to drag the sled up the hill if you want to slide again. In this instance, one of the balloons will pop almost instantly (contrary to what you see in movies, real sword fights last seconds before someone gets stabbed), and then you have to set everything up again, which takes considerably longer.
