There is not enough local “union” steelworkers to complete this work so they are bringing in out of state labor. @@bricknmotor I am 82 and not in the best of health - I live and die for the Buffalo Bills - I have followed them since the day the team was founded by Ralph Wilson. As you may or may not know Ralph was not the most liked team owner int he NFL and Buffalo was considered the dregs of all places for a professional football team. But over many years the Bills have shown the NFL and other teams that they are always a team to contend with.

The Bills are an old team (60 years if I am right) and they have made it to the Super Bowl four times in a row which if memory servers me correctly no other team in the NFL has ever done. I wish all teams well - but most importantly after what happened to Damar Hamlin last year I hope injuries are kept at a minimum. If memory again servers me, the NFL now is making it a must that all field be natural grass to cut down on injuries - what those people in domes will do beside complain is unknown but what the league wants the league gets - however the NYJets and NY Giants have already said they will not play on grass they will play on artificial turf but the will make an exception for the world soccer playoffs in MetLife stadium by putting down turf grass much as a homeowner would do. Keep the injuries to a minimum, improve of the penalty calling and eliminate the hate banter between teams - after all football is only a game. You obviously have not been looking and listening to the designers and planners of the new Bills stadium. The seating in the new stadium is arranged in such a way the fans will be closer and have a better views just because of the new arrangement of the seating - instead of being further away from the field as they are now and as they are now in most sport facilities they will he higher and closer and have a better view. I strongly suggest you study the plans for the Bills new stadium - because your hate for the Bills is making you terribly misinformed and misguided. and frankly - "stupid". As to cost, tell me the prices at all those very expensive domed stadium - tell me how much they pay for tickets, how much they pay for a beer or a pop, tell me how much they pay for a burger or a hotdog. obviously you know nothing about the design and function of the new Bills stadium - as designed the fan seating will be closer and give them a better view of the playing field. As you probably do not know, Bills fans are already seeing a mock-up of the new Bills stadium in a private exhibit hall by invitation only for ticket holders - all have said how much better the seating will be in the new stadium - so please, close your eyes and imagine that you are in another world where people are nice and are not simply complainers. Until the old stadium is torn down parking will be a problem but once gone there will be plenty of parking - car pooling and public transportation can easily resolve some of the car parking problem until the new parking facility is ready. It has been widely known that Hochul promised a no backdoor deals policy as part of her campaign to office, yet never held a referendum on the stadium funding for the taxpayer to ultimately decide if spending money on a luxury in one of the toughest economic climates. And never mind that her husband is an executive for Delaware North, a hospitality vendor for the Bills who stand to benefit from expanded concessions and hospitality services being offered in the new stadium. And certainly pay no mind to the fact that the stadium funding deal may be one of the most one sided public-private stadium deals in American sports history. On top of having countless studies show that even in the most favorable of terms for public funding of stadium projects, offer to benefit near zero economic benefit, at best, to the state and its taxpayers.

I never understood why northeast cities don’t have domed stadiums. I live in Pittsburgh and although we get less snow than Buffalo, we do get some along with a lot of cold weather making the football stadium unusable from December to April!!! All that lost revenue from concerts and other events could easily cover the difference in cost in only a few years!!! Shortsighted by local politicians.
