Looking back, I think this was one of the more significant wins by the Bills in recent memory. Going into this game, there were high expectations for the Jets to be competitive, with their numerous additions through Agency (Bell being the biggest) and Darnold expecting to take the next step forward, while the Bills were just....the Bills. In the past, if the Bills were down by 16 points on the road in the second half, the team would just mail it in and look forward to the next game. The two teams IMO really went in opposite directions after this game, and when the Bills won this game, I actually saw it as a good win instead of writing it off as them just beating a bad team on the schedule.

As a Jets fan, you are 100% right. Losing the game the way the Jets did that day got the Adam Gase era off on completely the wrong foot, and the Bills won a game late they never should have won. Bills went in the right direction and the Jets have gone in the wrong direction since this game. Darnold going into this game was seen as the superior player to Josh Allen which sounds so laughable now. I remember watching this game thinking that even though they weren't playing that well, there was noway they were going to lose once they got up 16 points against the Bills at home. Bills won and basically haven't looked back. Jets are still searching for answers and are on a new HC and QB combo.

Examples: QB hits his receiver-was he lucky the DB wasn't there to break it up? Defensive tackle bursts through the line to tackle the tailback for a loss. Was he lucky the guard took a wrong angle to hold him off?? Fumbled snap to turn the ball over, were the Jets lucky Morse was out the entire offseason first with surgery, then with a concussion? He and Allen had literally never played a down of football together before Sunday. Was that luck? Ball caroms off Beasley's thigh pad into the air for an easy interception and score. Was that bad Bills luck...or good Jets luck?? Bills line up for a field goal...and it's good; Jets line up for a field goal...and it's no good. Were the Bills lucky; were the Jets unlucky????? There are 11 individual battles on every play & luck is but a bit player, at best, in a game's outcome. In the end, Buffalo played one point better than the Jets...no bullshit and no excuses-I'm sure the players would agree.

I think it's more likely that the Bills get better as the season progresses; the Jets just started over with a new head coach, while the Bills have had management and a plan in place for 2+ seasons now. The Bills are further along in their development than the Jets; even though I'd have to say Sam Darnold has made better strides at QB than Josh Allen has ...AT THIS POINT. Allen CLEARLY has worked on his progression processing and pocket passing, as well as his footwork (which still needs some work). But overall, I'd say Allen's pretty much where people would expect him to be; considering where he came from, and his skill set. I think he's on track, and hopefully by the end of the season he will have bypassed Darnold...and developed enough so that his incredible physical skills will start widening the gap between he and Darnold. I like Darnold - quite a bit - but playing for the Jets isn't going to help his development! I think it will become more clearer as the season progresses that the Bills just have more talent, top to bottom, than the Jets and Dolphins do at their respective stages of development. That wasn't the case last season; but, with another great 2019 draft (where they're getting really good players, even in the 7th rounds!) and some smart free agent acquisitions ....they've positioned themselves to be on the cusp of something really good! Are they ready to dislodge the Patriots? No! Are they closer to doing that than the Jets or the Dolphins? Oh, YEAH! A decent 2019 season (I'm thinking, 8-8), and then another good 2020 draft; in which they have, at the present moment, 9 picks...along with almost 60 MILLION in cap space next off-season - will push them to playoff status. Unless Adam Gase gets better as a head coach (which I doubt will happen), the Jets will pretty much remain where they are right now...and the Dolphins will be entering Year 2 of The Rebuild.

My point was is that we (the Bills defense in that regard) will remain top 3 throughout the remainder of the season. It just goes to show you -- to your original point -- that height of the QB doesn't mean anything when it comes to batted passes near the line of scrimmage.

Because the Jets only got 6 points from those turnovers. The Bills D held the Jets to 8 points, the other 8 were given to the Jets by the offense. But, yeah, you lose the turnover battle 4-0, you're gonna lose 95% of the time, maybe not even that good.

A tale of two halves. Very impressed with the way Josh Allen bounced back and led his team to the win. Sean McDermott definitely appears to be one of the most underrated coaches in the NFL. Disappointing to see the Jets stall out in the second half, though not surprising considering Adam Gase is the coach. The Bills have a chance at a wild card berth if their defense continues to play well and their offense is serviceable. The Jets could be a playoff team if Sam Darnold continues to improve and they learn to finish out games in the fourth quarter.

The Jets could honestly be a threat if y'all invested in a kicker. That team has almost all the recipe for a tough nosed wild card team but doesnt have a kicker to generate consistent offense to help out that defense. The Bills made the Playoffs in 2017 with an opportunistic turnover generating defense, amazing run game, risk averse qb and pro bowl kicker but the Jets are missing the oline and kicker part of that recipe
