The New Mutants issue shown in this was the one that got me into Sienkiewicz. For the whole month after I bought the comic, I just looked at it figuring out if I liked it or not. I wasn’t sure what to do with the artwork at the time. All I knew was that no one else was doing what he was.

I suspect he and Alex Ross have both hired the same media manager because this is the fourth time that he and Alex have both dropped new content simultaneously. It would also explain the longer format videos we're getting now. Which is great.

Sienkiewicz would've totally killed it on Uncanny X-Men issue after issue, month after month had he not declined the offer to illustrate Marvel's number one title on a regular basis following his incredible run collaborating with Doug Moench on Moon Knight in both the Hulk! magazine as well as the ongoing Moon Knight title itself. (Sienkiewicz did, however, tackle Marvel's merry mutants by illustrating Uncanny X-Men #159 and Uncanny X-Men Annual #6 in 1982, as well as the cover for the Dark Phoenix Saga trade paperback in 1984.)

I firmly believe mike Dringenberg was influenced by new mutants when he was doing Sandman.
