As an arm amputee this is really really relatable. It's really hard out here. Everyone expects me to be proud of being so strong, so strong when she is internally wishing she didn't survive the fire? I was out there in the other side and somehow I'm back and it's so so hard to do everything. I saw home. I was there and now I'm here.

Thank you for the inspiration. I put my pens and pencils away when I got my PD diagnosis 10 years ago. I've blown the dust off them and started drawing again just for me FTW.

I love the way his talent has switched to drawing by which unlike comedy, his natural creative gift now takes him into the realms of immortality where future generations with no personal knowledge of Billy Connolly will still be able to appreciate his work which will continue to bring joy to millions for all time to come. I love that you can admire your own work Billy. Its a shame people shy away from it. I teach Art and so often people play down the triumph when they should revel in it. I wish you could see the work of mine inspired by you. I saw you on Parky one time talking about conjuring yourself as a boy to rewrite your childhood, and that idea really stuck with me and Im writing kids books on it. Or rather Ive painted a load of scenes with the character (a banjo player) helping his boy-self write a song.

He talks about his art as if he has no idea where it came from or who created it. It's quite typical of real artists who simply let the materials 'do their thing'. I feel for this man. He still hasn't found the spiritual answer he needs to satisfy all his questions about this life and the life to come.

Thing with modern "art" that's so irritating to some people, Is this. Why cant people paint a telephone box and a puppy. And make it look exsctly like Tuesday afternoon in a smokey bookies in Chelmsford. It's not hard, is it? Ok Exeter then.
