Probably the first Connolly album I ever listened to. Still class.

same here. My Irish Dad who grew up in Glasgow got this in 1974 when no one in Essex had heard of him and most people here couldn't understand him. I was nine. I played this to death. I should still have it somewhere. He also had the live 1972 solo album which I can't find now and would love to hear that again. MY Dad died in 1976.

I have this album in the house. Forgot about how good it was until passing Carntyne on a train and 3 Men Fae Carntyne burst into my head. Just had to find this and see if the jokes still held up today They do! Cannae believe the Big Yin is stepping out of the comedy limelight. I get why, don’t get me wrong, but his comedy is as Scottish as a roll n square sausage, a wee nip o the creature at Hogmanay and asking someone which school they went tae to find out if they’re a Tim or a Hun. He’ll be sorely missed. How ironic that I write this as I left Carntyne and finish it as my train approaches Billy’s hame, Partick
