Chelsea Holland - Defender 54:19 Team SR - Leaving London (Billy Gillies Rework) Billy's 2019 Lumi set was fantastic, I expected nothing less epic than this mix. A full producer set, just like in 2019! Some amazing remixes of classics. The "Repercussion Shining" mashup is interesting - most likely it was inspired by Will Atkinson's "Beautiful Repercussion" mashup, which I still prefer more 😁 "Angel" has been my long-time favourite from Giuseppe Ottaviani (especially the video), Billy's techy update sounds great. Glad he played "Beautiful Things" remix - the breakdown at 48:03 has one of my favourite melodies made by Billy. It has that slightly dark and "motivational" melody which kinda reminds me of Will Atkinson's 2013-2014 stuff. And of course Nostalgia - absolutely most emotional track from him. Love how some Billy Gillies stuff sounds to me like a blend of hard house and "Bryan Kearney pres. Karney" raw techy sound (especially the 03:17 tune). But at the same time it's still emotional like Will Rees or Paul Denton stuff. His sound is unique and easily-recognizable among other artists, that's why Billy deserves to be at the Lumi mainstage and in the current trance tops.
