I don't think many people realize how brillant Billy is! The younger generations now really miss out on a rock n roll genius bc most of them listen to rap/pop & hip hop. He's been able to make a career in music last for 40 years & now in his 60's he defines his whole life in this album "kings & Queens of the underground " and in his autobiography. His lyrics tell it all!

This is by far, in my opinion, the best cd he has ever made. Every song is awesome. The vocals are great. The muscianship is superb. Its got a perfect mix of Billys past sound and also a more modern flavor to it. These bands today should listen and bow before Billy and Steve Stevens! One of my favorite cds of 2014

I grew up watching Billy Idol on MTV and Night Tracks back in the 80's. This album is timeless. Awesome job Mr. Idol! Steve Stevens is top notch! Hope to hear another great album soon.

Just read his autobiography and was blown away by what he went through. This guy lived like an international Roman Emperor on wheels. Christ knows how he survived. Seems every hedonistic act just fuelled his flame. A charmed life indeed ;)

He sure did have a crazy life, and at an age of 22. I love his new stuff💞! I sang in his microphone at a concert in San Diego once when he was promoting Rebel Yell. I think I'm still high from it. 😁 My fave is You don't need a gun. Love ya Billy!!!💞💕💞

A thought provoking comment, you posted. [A compliment!] Just under 5 yrs average between releases is a bit longer than the 3-4 yrs between U2 and Bruce Springsteen, just for approximate comparison. But, admittedly, Billy had a much longer period of being out of flavor with the general public vs U2 or Springsteen ever has. I guess another way of looking at it is all the other '80s artists of Billy's level that haven't released fewer, if any, albums at all since the '80s. Again, a thought provoking comment from ya. He had a major Motorcycle accident in 1990 and almost destroyed his leg in the process. He did one more album after that, which was already in the process of being made and then he called it quite probably due to the fact he couldn't really play live anymore at the time.

Woo!! I went right from listening to Generation X to this song & its amazing how much Billy's voice changed!
