Dude, been looking around for easy-ish/warm-up pieces to learn. I was watching another online tutor and thought the intro riff was a stretch, (they played it on the E A and D strings ) so found the riff like you play it, on the A and D strings- so when I saw you play it that way it makes much more sense, and far less of a stretch. Love the PDF (I read the notation rather than Tab) so thanks very much.

I think on the tab, coming out of the interlude, you have a D being fretted but you play an A on the video...lyric part " pick it up." Check it out and as always, Thank you!!

Hi Constantine. My brother is Phil Feit who plays bass on "White Wedding". The song is played with a pick not the fingers on the right hand and the intro is at the 7th fret on the B note of the E string not the 2nd fret B note of the A string. Cheers! 😃🎸
@burp19148 жыл бұрын
God help us if Constantine had used a five string bass. If they tuned down a half step we would all be screwed.
@patrickjmckenna8 жыл бұрын
GLENN KIDD, cool to see a response from a family member of the original lineup. Phil's playing and tone on this album is outstanding. It sounds like a P Bass to me. Would you happen to know any specs on what he recorded that album with (type of bass, year, body wood, fretboard wood, strings, amp). Anything he can remember would be cool to know, but it's been a long time so I'm sure things can get fuzzy. Thank you.
@markbass3548 жыл бұрын
it's the same thing , what do you play the violin.
@jayfulkerson63297 жыл бұрын
it's fun to hear from a relative of phil fett, but your comment is idiotic. the bass player should pick it or pluck it with his fingers; whichever is most comfortable. in fact this is an excellent song to develop a beginner's bass player right hand. and what difference does it make what string you start the little bass riff on. play that where ever it's comfortable too
@UdoBassgo7 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with that! Being a converted guitar player there's an easier way 2 archive a good sound --> use plec. To someone who's learning (me) this one's crying out to be fingered! Still need 2 work on silencing the occational string ringing where it shouldn't. Constantine does that perfectly, thank you mate!!!! So much to learn from U! GLENN KIDDs comment to me doesn't even sound like a corretional advice. Take it as a supplementary information, which happens to be absolutely in the right place here. Thanks 2 Glenn for that! And many thanks 2 U Constantine! Brilliant tutor! Your vids r my 1st choice when it comes to "someone show me how to?" ! In fact I would like to support u doing theese vids with a (small) transfere, just to show appreciation. Is there a way to do so?

90 thumbs up, 1 thumbs down? Come on people, who is the nob head? Come on penis scapula, let yourself be known, come on now, out with it. What's the issue?
@metronomable9 жыл бұрын
+Glenn Carr give me a bassguitar, 5 minutes and the song to listen to and i play you the same...i'm not hating...it's just nuthing special he's doing....basic bass..
@rubberlegs159 жыл бұрын
metronomable If it's correct then why a thumbs down? Might not be anything special but a thumbs down should be for a reason. Was the thumbs down from you? If so and because the song is relatively easy to do for yourself then why even bother opening a link titled 'Billy Idol White Wedding Bass Cover'?!! Is there an issue with the audio, timing, progression, missing notes, extra notes? All reasons for a thumbs down but otherwise there is no reason to click the thumbs down. If you are at a level that you can easily learn songs by ear than you are fortunate - not everybody can and for those who can't this is useful. For those who can, perhaps stop visiting links to bass covers?!!
@metronomable9 жыл бұрын
youtube brought me here dude...i'm just rating...and i don't even play bassguitar. Still i'm sure i could teach this to anybody in about 10min. It's realy nothing special. You're right he is doing a good job playing that. But i think if you're uploding a cover of a song then you want to show people your skills...just that i don't think that this is skill....it's basic...how to make sound with a bassguitar.
@rubberlegs159 жыл бұрын
metronomable Would be interested to hear you cover it on a video!
@ConstantineBassCovers9 жыл бұрын
+metronomable Just catching up on some emails. Not sure how to take your comments. If you don't play the bass guitar, I'm truly not sure how you can make the comment that could teach this song in 10 minutes to someone who does not play the bass. It took me longer than 10 minutes just to tune my bass to this track. Not sure how you could learn and play this in 5 minutes, but I would love to see it.
