Eddie could play like a man possessed. He could bend 'em as well as Duane Eddy. He could play intricate, fast or slow. Eddie had something I'll call "feel" because he could feel what was needed and go there. I can't imagine Billy's loss when Eddie passed. He is now with him, but thankfully we have great musical memories of songs, videos, and certain times in our lives connected through what Billy Joe gave us.

He was such a wonderful performer. You can show me a million musicians that are more “technically proficient” but not one of them will be as expressive or have as much personality on stage as this man. Any live footage you see of him you can tell he’s doing what he loves.There will never be a songwriter of equal talent.
