My favorite rhyme in that song is: "They were all impressed/with your Halston dress/and the people that you knew at Elaine's" Such a late 1970s lyric.

All these years, I thought Billy was just sort of fooling around with the vocals for fun... turns out he was channeling Mick Jagger! The kind of love knowing that now!

I love how comfortable Howard and Robin make their guests feel. There's no audience to play to/be anxious of - just a couple of people really interested in you, and not starstruck. It really brings out the best in the guests.

Totally, plus he's a singers singer. he reminds me of John Lennon in that he was always up for singing wherever at the drop of a dime. the singers who wont are usually the ones whose vocals are all made up in the studio.

52nd street is my favourite Billy Joel album which this song was on. Honesty, My Life and Rosalinda’s Eyes are classic tracks too. Love when he sings in Big Shot No No No No No No you had to be a big shot didn’t you with an exaggerated accent. Amazing songwriter.

Too bad Howard didn't seem to hear Billy when he said "there was a lot of autobiographical stuff in there too." I've heard the Bianca Jagger story before, but the song feels richer when you realize Billy might be directing the criticism at himself.
