I do too, despite being a youngen. There's still good music being made, but it's not broadcasted or popularized like it was in the 70s. My single favorite decade of music. So many gems from funk, to soul, to rock, & to jazz. I'd give half of my lifespan to have been a teen or 20 something during the 70s. Thankfully, we still have great funk artists like Louis Cole, Cory Wong, Vulfpeck, and Antwuan Stanley carrying the torch. I'm grateful for how technological advances have made the lives of independent artists easier and given them more room for success.

Indeed. I think the way the inner voices travel through and against the melodic moves of the octave boundaries of his right hand chords is particularly genius. For one thing, there are almost always three inner voices within that compact span, which is one or two more than most players normally fit into fast right hand passages. He also rarely sounds all the voices simultaneously, instead adding intricate syncopation and flam which makes the chords pop. Plus he builds soaring phrases, like a master stonemason building the arches of a great cathedral. But with that insane driving energy, like Bach on methedrine... I'm pretty sure someone who really knew stuff would find enough for a whole book...
