The crazy part is that Cory is playing bass with his feet while he shreds like that. Blows my mind. I feel like I’ve lost a family member by not being able to attend this show and/or not getting a great recording. It’s really a loss for humanity as a whole that this series wasn’t captured :)
Oh man, what a show that must have been Billy and Chris together....and then Cory sitting in on Hammond doing bluegrass, now that was flipping epic.

Did he start with one shoe? Or is the boot on his short leg.

Sittin’ On Top of the World is a country blues song written by Walter Vinson and Lonnie Chatmon. They were core members of the Mississippi Sheiks, who first recorded it in 1930.

Thanks for pointing that out. It’s been corrected; got to give props to the right folks!

In a land where musicians such as myself are covering covers of other folks covers, sharing that info is a righteous thing to do.

Cory takes a shoe off to play the organ. So Billy thought he’d join him and play with one boot on as well…for the rest of the show. As did Thile.
