This young man has got to be the best picker I've heard in years. He does such tremendous justice to the traditional styles of Doc Watson, Norman Blake, Clarence White, etc, while keeping the music fresh with the progressive styles of the younger pickers of today. All of that with an absolutely amazing singing voice. Billy Strings is a star that will hopefully shine brightly for many years to come! BRAVO!

@@camronepiscopo I found Billy during covid and he got me playing again. I grew up hearing my uncles hackin away at Doc Watson tunes and I played Blues hard for 30 years, had kids and stopped playing 5-8 hours a day, then covid hit and Billy got me playing hard again. I found Tony Rice and now got a couple sets of his tunes down and through KZbin, and not being 1000% into the Blues only, I'm now breaking my ass learning Tommy Emmanuel's stuff with that wicked independent thumb stuff which is literally like starting over on the instrument. Bluegrass is sacred, and I guarantee you Billy regrets his woke phase with the satanic hair coloring, and playing John Hartford tunes in a dress, yes he DID do that. Broke my heart. But he's a good cat. His Home album was dynamite and I'm getting through Highway Prayers. To be honest, it's gonna be tough equaling Home but it's growing on me. I now do bunch of tunes from this facebook thing, Last Day At Gettysburg being my favorite, and I got to tell Gary Ferguson personally that in my opinion it might be the greatest Civil War tune ever written.
