One of my favorite lps is "Les McCann Ltd Plays the Shampoo at the Village Gate" on Pacific Jazz records with Herbie Lewis and Ron Jefferson recorded in 1961. I wish it would be reissued on CD.

Well, sorry to hear that Les is in a wheel chair... I was hoping that he and I would get to do something together but I'm too slow getting around. Perhaps still possible. I did talk with his manager Al a few months ago. Lord that was in October I think! So Al if you see this, best of all things to you. Didn't know Les's history, only in the later years so this is nice/interesting. It also tells me that after such a run, he likely will not be playing with me. :)
