One of the most fire set openers in music history, this brings me chills every time I watch. The extended opening, the shots of Bill looking out to the crowd, James weaving in his sax, Aaron's sick piano solo, Reed's thumping bass and Billy's soul squeezing vocals bring this Who song alive like it never has been before. I can't put into words how much this video means to me. More Billy and the Kids please

Id have to totally disagree with your assessment. While TH is a very skilled guitarist who can shred, but there's a remarkable difference in these red rocks videos when TH takes a solo and when billy starts ripping his solos there is an immediate difference. Billy has that light in him where his playing can take you to a spiritual realm. His playing is much more spaced out and effortless. I saw JRAD one week ago at pier 6 pavilion in Baltimore and it felt like GD on crystal meth. It was a great time for sure but TH shredding faster and faster made the jams much more predictable which isn't solely THs fault but I just didn't feel any space in the music where anything can happen. Tempo just faster and faster until it becomes a shred fest.

HOLY F@$&EN SHIT! They need to take this on a national tour. I mean I know these shows have been fire, but opening with a Who song like this and the overall energy is just off the charts. This makes me sad for D&C 😪. One is fresh and looking forward, and the other is a museum nostalgia show rooted in the past. While I recognize the need for it, it's time it be retired. Billy and Kids, JRAD and Grateful Shred is the future. I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I did.
