Billy is a puppet that has appeared in the Saw franchise. It was used by John Kramer to communicate with his test subjects by delivering recorded messages, often appearing on a television screen or occasionally in person to describe the details of the traps and the means by which the test subjects could survive.

At last someone knows its name is Billy The Puppet, not Jigsaw, nor John Kramer. Everyone calls it Jigsaw for no reason. I mean, yeah one could say he's Jigsaw/John as he speaks through the puppet but it doesn't affect the name of the puppet. It is still called Billy The Puppet and everyone should know it by now. That's not the worst one... I remember back in the day when the original movies were coming out, there were way too many people in comments sections and message boards who though the doll was called "Saw," and that the doll itself was the killer. Drove me batty. (And god forbid you'd try to correct them... you'd just end up getting a bunch of people dog-piling you with "OMG, you're such a sad, pathetic nerd for knowing that!" comments.)
