Gone... our endless love, ended in tears Though I loved you so much We let magic slip away Gone... our endless love, aching inside At the dawn of your touch We let magic slip away Seems like just yesterday We vowed we'd never part My heart will bleed for you Till I no longer have a heart Gone... our endless love, ending in tears I still love you so much We let magic slip away Gone... our endless love, ending in tears I still love you so much We let magic slip away...

Re-visiting this channel to listen to this masterpiece, and seeing the photo of that magnificent horse at 15 seconds, all horse lovers should google the fabulous thoroughbred GUN RUNNER to view his final race in the 16 million dollar Pegasus World Cup race to occur on January 27, 2017, two days from now. He will be retired to stallion duty afterward, for a fee of $70,000. GO GUN RUNNER! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃 Thanks, Bianca, for all the great images of horses you provide in your videos!😃😄😃😄

The gorgeous choir backing up Billy Walker is the MIKE CURB CONGREGATION, which was formed by song writer and producer Mike Curb, who co-wrote ALL FOR THE LOVE OF SUNSHINE for Hank Williams,Jr. The MIKE CURB CONGREGATION is also the choir in that recording. What beautiful voices they had!!! One of the best choirs this side of heaven!😃😃😃😃

An immortal recording of imperishable beauty. And the only country song I get "misty-eyed" over at the conclusion. The greatest coda to any country song IMHO, by the eminent orchestrator and arranger Don Costa, who was responsible for Paul Anka's biggest hit recording, "Diana," many of the top recordings by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormet, etc. The photo fit the ethereal conclusion of the song perfectly. When I discovered this video it had been posted 7 hours previously, had received 7 likes, and today is Sunday, the Sabbath, the 7th day of the week when, God rested after creating the earth, and all things pertaining thereto. ( Oddly and coincidentally, I returned today, Sept. 1, 2018 and discovered that this video has garnered only 7 commenters, me, and 6 other people, for a total of 7!) I think that this song would have been more appropriately titled: WE LET MAGIC SLIP AWAY, and should have been changed to this, after the fashion of how Peggy Lee convinced songwriter Bart Howard to change his immortal song, originally titled "In Other Words," to FLY ME TO THE MOON. Both songs were destined for greatness regardless of the titles. This is my all-time favorite song by the late/great Mr. Billy Walker. When this song was charting, you could not tune up and down an a.m. radio dial in Dallas, Texas without encountering it. This video is dedicated to Dulce. With eternal gratitude to Bianca/BeMisty for getting this treasured recording back on you tube for the entire world to have an opportunity to enjoy.😃😃😃😃

''We Let Magic Slip Away'' yes a more appropriate title. Their 'essence 'you feel from the one you love when he looks looks in your eyes or touches your hand could be called magic how could it just slip away and be gone. Billy Walker beautiful voice and the lyrics have no answer to the question your heart will forever be asking.

I rather like this anonymous poem, it might not be magic, nor an illusion. ''Love me not for comely grace. For my pleasing eye or face. Nor for any outward part. No, nor for my constant heart. For those may fail or turn to ill. So thou and I shall sever. Keep therefore a true woman's eye and love me still but know not why. So hast thou the same reason still .To doat upon me ever.

@@barbaraharris7004 A remarkable poem, especially for an uncredited one. I suppose the copyright must duly fall to God. I shall add this to my poetry collection. Hope you get this!

Thanks Graham. I wrote from memory as best I could what was in my comment on the channel that withdrew this song. Scary to think of everyone's comments potentially going up in flames if you tube ever disappears! Speaks to all of us about copying our remarks as back-up. But who's got the time?
