@ Norman Mónico : I grew up with Madonna, I've been a lifelong fan.... but her choices these last years are hurting her career and her image in the future. She's admitting being tired in this interview....she's doing stuff just to stay in the limelight, and that's bad. She's trying too hard to stick to the new trends, and it's a stupid choice.... young people are not going to find her cool, especially if she's trying to compete with their favorite stars. People in their 30's, 40's, 50's were her major fanbase. These people don't care about Minaj and Drake.... they expect albums like "Ray of light", " Confessions on the dance floor", songs like "Die another day". Something more sophisticated. She had family drama with her brother Chris when he published a book that talked about her and her son also chose to live with his dad instead of her, and that was all very public too.

Interestingly enough, Christopher wrote that book less than two years after he refused to go to rehab, which Madonna offered to pay for (in addition to the FIRST time he went to rehab) It’s best that we don’t talk about things we don’t know anything about, and it’s VERY important that we don’t make assumptions about people in an attempt to disparage them

Madonna, in the beginning made a big deal out of the death of her mother. she wrote a song for her, in the Oh Father video, you see a woman in the casket with her lips sewn, which is Madonna's last memory of her mother, and on the cover of Madame X, her latest album, Madonna has her lips "sewn" with the word Madame X. I understand what you're saying, she also talked about how strict her dad was and so forth. Most celebrities never use their family issues for their careers, unless their family members are also part of the Entertainment Business. Do you think people would have given Madonna's marriage attention had she not been married to Sean Penn? Guy Rithchie?

@@anna.phylactic Yes, Madonna was anti drugs, I knew that. But she is not against experimenting, which is different. Many of her past dancers said she was very disciplined to go to bed before 11, and be up by 8. That is why I used to admire her so much, because she never gave into any of that celebrity lifestyle. her blonde ambition dancers said she would not go and party with them, and part of the reason why she did not invite several of them back to work with her on tour is because they were late to rehearsals on tour, which Madonna considered immature on their part. However, Madonna did start using painkillers after she had the butt implant and became addicted to it. I have always defended Madonna as an artist, and admired her artistic expression. But that does not mean that I will close my eyes to reality. Madonna has changed a lot in an effort to stay relevant, which she no longer is. That's not saying that she is no longer famous though, because she will always be that. Heck, I'm once again going to see her in concert because no one puts a live performance(theatrical), like she does. I never made a single assumption, only repeated what is known. She is not perfect, and people do change. It's not always for the better though. Go and see past interviews with her, and see recent interviews with her and you will see a big change in personality.

Yep, and as it comes to ruling the world, that was always going to be a metaphorical claim. But if you look a the number of people coming to see her concerts and following her, there is a point to the claim. And her message has always been one of toleration and support for the marginalized. Think about why 'It's like a Prayer' was really banned. This is why I have always loved her. U2 does the same, but only in relation to political and racial injustice.
