I have no idea if this an intp trait but as one I often feel like a fictional character. I keep living my life as an outsider, narrating my whole life and studying it relentlessly. I feel like I also study others while still being an intruder in my own head. It's as if I'm nobody and I am watching a movie while analyzing everything I see, the people I see, the information I get, places I see ect... I find it absolutely stimulating but then suddenly I remember that I am in fact somebody in this huge world and that I am not for example my friend trying to understand her feelings. Everytime I get back to reality it scares the shit out of me. But I never stop thinking like a storyteller. I don't know if anybody relates to that. It's just my own experience.

The people I struggle most to understand are the ones that act with their emotions rather than thinking. I try to understand the reasoning they may have done but I come to the point where I realize its cause of emotions and other irrational feelings or beliefs. I cant understand people who dont want to know the truth either, that highly illogical argument of "it's my truth" or "every one has their own truth" makes me a bit mad. There is only one truth and various opinions and perceptions of it, and if something proves to be wrong then we should accept it as false and move on to a better understanding of reality, instead of not letting go a mindset just cause we are comfortable with it.

@@valem4824 I agree and don't agree. The problem with *The Truth* is, that we can't know for sure. We can only move towards it by being objective to our best ability. But even if we are, we're still subject to the neurological filters and subconscious behaviours and perceptions we internalise while growing up. And I agree with you that this doesn't mean that we should just accept some BS that we decided to be truth as this end all be all solution. This would be stupid, if you had the ability to do otherwise. But many people don't have the emotional or intellectual capabilities to cope with permanenty questioning themselves and the world. Then someone comes along and gives them a solution, for example a religion, and they can stop agonising about it, which makes them lead a happier life. Some people can't live any different way. So, just saying people are lazy or unwilling for not seeking the factual truth is a little abelist, I think (some surely are, though,not defending bigots here).
@valem48243 жыл бұрын
@@julyol119 I agree, and i dont think people with those mindsets re lazy or something like that. I understand that most times they grow attached to their ideas and beliefs and following a religion or belief system helps them live their life normally without feeling overwhelmed by the questions with no known answer yet. But I can't help but question everything and keep seeking for a logical solution to things, therefore I ve learned to live with this constant questioning and not to feel too overwhelmed by it, actually I fell more curiosity than stress over those questions. And that doesn't make their or my position better or worse, everyone can believe what they believe and be who they re. What I was trying to say with my first comment is that because I can't fully relate to that mindset and other people can't fully relate to mine, it's a bit difficult, and a bit frustating to interact, cause we both re have diferent perceptions of the world and can't understand each other that well. But I do respect their position and understand it's as valid as mine.

They probably fear some topics you re using as creative expression, and probably think you fear them too. Its intresting the fact that not all people can see something intresting in misery and fear, but those who do are somehow fascinated with the abstract concepts of fear and unknown, and create art that gives other people that fascination too. An example of that would be Tha Caretaker's project "everywhere at the end of time" that simulates the experience of someone with dementia. It plays with the distorted sounds and silences, and the concept of forgetting everything that was once known. It's a long time project so I old recommend hearing it in pieces. -An intp

I was like this also , a helpful tool for me was looking at the specific cognitive functions. A difference between ENTP’s and INTP’s is that ENTP’s lead with extraverted intuition and rely on this function the most. Therefore they seem to be more social and outgoing as it is an extraverted function they use most. INTP’s on the other hand lead with introverted thinking. As this is an introverted function it is more inward focused and is revolved around being in ones own thoughts and ideas. Hope this helped somewhat.
