Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Many proclaim that hearing the words of God being preached by men is what this verse means, however many claim that they are preaching God's words, yet they are proclaiming their own doctrine which contradicts the truth of God's words. Faith is a gift given by God to whom He has chosen, and hearing comes from the word of God.

I love these old crusades! There is one thing that Billy said that tho that seems odd. The 3 Swaggart's do it in their sermons too. Maybe it's just a southern thing, don't know. If the skin color of the person isn't an actual part of the story why say it? They are NOT doing it to be demeaning, that's for sure. Maybe it never crossed Billy's mind or the Swaggart's either.
