Great choice. I haven’t heard this song in years. The style of this song is called Recitation, it was a big deal when it came out in the late 90’s because of the suggestive lyrics and performance. Alan Jackson was a traditional country singer and always understood the importance of carrying on tradition. The recitation style was popular in very early country music from the 40s-50s. Alan was one of the true greats!
