Thank you for this update. The devastation is eye-opening. However, I've lived through it myself. In 1951 my family was flooded out of our home. The water went ceiling-high. We went to grandma's home and were taken by a boat to a safer place. Then went to another state while Dad was part of the city’s cleanup. He got polio after that and we were quarantined. God bless these people. I was counting along with you, Scott. ♡

Thank you for continuing to keep this tragic reality alive…so easy to forget if it hasn’t affected your area. I am a native with a passion for preserving our great mountain culture and history. For a New Yorker to feel such empathy and share your stories as you do, is quite admirable.

It will take a generation for the area outside of Asheville to get back to some sort of normality. Its very eerie the people have gone, unable to stay in their own communities. Now if life not hard enough you have scammers to worry about. Hope the next administration fairs alot better than the one currently in. People feel forgotten but not by our family here in the UK. GOD bless everyone affected by this catastrophic flood. ❤🤗🙏🏻

This is heartbreaking yet encouraging. Are the building in the Biltmore village owned by the Biltmore estate? If so, I would be more optimistic about the future.

Appreciate you taking the time to continue with your videos. I heard a recent estimate that half of all foodservice people will leave Asheville in the next 6 months, due to no jobs. I looked at delinquent property taxes for Buncombe county in 2024....it's real bad. I've been working hard the past couple years to build my business making edibles for dispensaries here and now I'm being evicted after being late on rent by one single day in 12 years in Norwood Park....unreal

The roads, bridges, and rail lines being heavily damaged and not being repaired (in the outer areas of WNC) is concerning. Just came through yesterday and it’s unimaginable. Like war zones.

Hopefully Biltmore Village will be as pretty this NYE as I've heard it usually is -- I have typically skipped because crowds, nope, not doing that.
