Bimå Bungkus - Wayang Kulit

The Melbourne Community Gamelan performs lakon Bimå Bungkus (The Birth of Bimå), from the Mahabharata cycle of stories, at Gasworks Arts Theatre, Albert Park on Thursday 1 August 2024.
This wayang kulit (Central Javanese shadow puppet show) was planned in partnership with the Balai Bahasa dan Budaya Indonesia Victoria dan Tasmania (BBBIVT). Many thanks to staff from KJRI Melbourne for helping to capture footage of our performance.
