He was extreamely nice to people in his kingdom and extreamly cruel to people from enemy Kingdoms. So like the movie says he was god and demon embodied in one

He killed the messenger bcuz the message was meant for the God of Death, and one can meet Him only after one's dead.. So... 😂 Also don't take the dialogue literally cuz Bimbisara didn't ask the guy to actually send any message to God of Death... It is just a dramatic/cinematic way of saying "I'm gonna kill you" to that guy

Bimbisara belonged to the haryanka dynasty, his father was bhattiya and his son was ajatshatru and he ruled over magadh, the trigarta dynasty being mentioned in the movie was in two parts, one to the north of kuru near present day kangra and other towards the sivi kingdom near present day multan. The movie has mixed it up.

In the beginning of chapter 2, it clearly mentions that he wanted to rule over K.G.F. that's why he helped the people inside the mine and beheaded garuda in front of everyone in chapter 1 to win the heart of the people inside the mine because by doing that people will have faith in him and will always stand by his side. Whatever he did in chapter 1 was for his selfish needs which was made clear in chapter 1 itself.
