Impressed you got George Formby snr in there. Dogged by I'll Heath his catchphrase was "I'm coughing better tonight" Colin Compton moved to Whitley about 1981/82 as he had the pub the Birch and Bottle. I have a rare vinyl album of cabaret and jokes from the very pub recorded 1982 called "Bottled at the Birch". For such a low key event the production quality is amazing!

used to live on Flecher st was there when the Causeway ground was flattened, drank in the Mull and my parents still live near the Bridge.....nice bit of history didn't know about the temple👍

Great stuff as always Kieron. I lived on Gainsborough Road throughout my youth and remember the Greenalls buildings on Wilderspool Causeway. Interesting to note that there are some architectural similarities between these buildings and Walton Hall (the Greenalls home) if you ever get to look. Love this stuff - keep it going.
