Shahi sheermal | शाही शीरमाल रेसिपी | एक बार बनाओ और 15 दिनों तक मज़े से खाओ | awadhi cuisine
Sheermal or Shirmal शीरमाल is a saffron-flavored traditional flatbread from Greater Iran.The word sheermal is derived from the Persian words sheer meaning milk, and malidan meaning to rub. In a literal translation, sheermal means milk rubbed. After being introduced to North India by the Mughal emperors. It became a delicacy of Lucknow, Hyderabad and Aurangabad. It is also part of the Awadhi cuisine and is enjoyed in Old Bhopal and Pakistan.
Ingredients needed for Sheermal
Wheat flour-1 cup
Plain flour-1 cup
Sugar powder-1/2 cup
Clarified butter-1/3 cup
Salt-1/2 tsp
Baking powder-1 tsp
Baking soda-1/2 tsp
Milk-accordiing to the requirement
Sugar syrup- 3tbsp sugar + 3 tbsp Water +few drops of Kewra essence
Dry fruits
Chopped pistachios, almonds and cashews
