I just got mine today. Is there a way to set it so the lights stay on? When I'm working, I can't always reach over and push the button. I want to tell at a glance what time it is (after doing a short equation lol).

I just grabbed a cheap used one for a project. The case is zinc alloy (soft but skin safe) so I will be removing the coating, removing the center lug and a creating a light patina to make it look like it has been through space wars.

I wish it stayed light up always not until you prompt it. And you're right, at dark it'd be difficult to know the exact time. An improvement would be: Stay always lighted up and instead of the other leds to turn off remained soft lighted up. I always wanted a "Futuristic" Watch but i think this is not for me, thanks to you and your review!

If you're into a more simple binary, the TVG 2231 is one of the nicer ones. brightness settings dont do much but they're appreciated haha.

You could cut a notch in a leather or nylon band to fit that center lug if you wanted a different band. Or, if you're more adventurous, cut off the middle lugs. At the price, why not?

It's a fun little watch, I had something similar about ten years ago, hexagonal with just light indicators akin to the thing predator used to blow up the forest. I'd like to see higher build quality in some of these funkier designs though. The one I had was similar plastic feeling, not sure it was even metal. Great review as always.

You know, may be when I said plastic that wasn't fair to the watch. It is for sure a heavy metal, it's just got this coating on it that, well, you know what I'm trying to say. I have seen this kind of watch in a few different designs and shapes. I do agree that it would be nice for someone to make them with a better build quality but at the same time I kinda like the fact that the build quality is pretty good and that keeps the price down. Means we can collect these fun watches without breaking the bank :) Best. MJ

It’s definitely a different piece. I’ve had my eye on it before and have always been curious about it. First review I’ve seen of it. Looks like a bunch of gum balls. Neat watch though that doesn’t break the bank.

I think that the balls on the box represent binary nodes their is nothing wrong with cheap watches No one is ever going to mug you for a cheap watch even if it is a bit star trek tech style
