Alexander my grandfather is german and fought in the war, i can tell you that no matter how much history you have study ir would never compared to The reality. My grandad did his duty until they order to him and his men to kill an entire unit of russian war prisoners, he Was not SS, he refuse, the same as his men, so he had to spend the rest of The war in jail, they only put him in jail because he had fought since the invasion of France, some of his men weren't that lucky.
