As intermediate mapper, i have some word for you. I think, it's better to think more about placing object, cirlce-slider flow (like circular flow from right to left, but you can change it into square or triangles) , simple slider shape, reasonable spacing (if song feels intense or calmer). Adding more blanket (you can look monstrata maps, he really good at making blanket and simple slider shape). Just that, don't overthink when mapping, i hope it can help you :)
