Bing Bong deserving better for over 6 and a half minutes straight 💟

Saw a comment from an Inside Out video that made an unpopular opinion that said "Bing Bong’s death isn’t as emotional as everyone says. Riley coming home after walking off was way more emotional." and I was like are you for real? Bing Bong's sacrifice and Riley's reunion with her parents were EQUALLY emotional.

I can still remember my imaginary friend. "You can't talk to me in public anymore. Adults think that's weird when kids do that." It was something like that. Probably not those complicated words. The promise they'd be there out of the corner of my eye and then eventually... nothing. Bing Bong vanishing completely wrecked me. Riley was pretty much nothing to me because depression (and anxiety) can be very much subjective in experiences. Yeah that numbness is there but I never once felt the need to run away because I was so lost in the despair that nothing changes and I'll still feel numb, so there's no point in running. It doesn't make it better. So that did nothing for me because it's so subjective. But Bing Bong's desire to see Riley happy even as he faded... It's that part that knows even what I manifested as a child was part of me and it wants me happy, even if we "don't talk anymore". Like some weird break up that was always amicable and probably for my own good and growth as an adult. It symbolized so much more and was pretty deep. It made children feel deeply while adults could also connect on a level of saying goodbye to childhood as well. Bing Bong is an excellent character and situation. But... I cannot say the same for all of Pixar's writing which needs you to often be personally afflicted to relate. It's not always a good choice.

I remember crying at both. A little bit during Bing Bing sacrificing himself. And Outright sobbing quietly during Riley remembering all the good times in Minnesota. I honestly do not have any shame in crying. It’s healthy actually.

The purple hair is definitely a good connection, I will say. But goth girl lives in Canada, as that's where Turning Red is set, and pizza girl lives in San Francisco, where Inside Out is Pizza girl also looks like a high schooler, which wouldn't line up with her being grown-up goth girl
