I'm so glad you liked it! I can see you love Donald O'Connor. I think he was one of the most likeable entertainers of that time. Frankly, I think he could dance rings around Gene Kelly. Great post and a really entertaining movie. These three guys were great together. Too bad they never made another movie together. They really seem like brothers. Vote for this movie to be played on TCM as it is only on DVD.

It's hilarious to know that one of my idols is my age in this film. Donald O'Connor, I LOVE YOU!! He is awesome in I Love Melvin, playing Melvin. He plays opposite Debbie Reynolds. He's opposite her in Singing in the Rain too, but they're not the ones who fall in love. Gene Kelly's character falls for her and she to him. Donald's Gene's best friend and piano player, who will make you die laughing... I LOVE HIM SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! ;)

It really is. I have always loved that movie. It truly shows family life during the 30's and one of the few that Bing does not have a love interest, aside from Going My Way and Bells of St. Mary's. Could Bing have been any more relaxed on camera? What an amazing man.

I certainly agree. Bing was a phenomena. S multi talented entertainer . We will never see this type of personality again.
