The dance sequence with Fred Astaire is pure golden entertainment, two professionals at the top of their game, the like of which we'll never see again. The entertainment industry is not what it was, and consequently today's audience are not served very well.

Bing Crosby & Frank Sinatra mean the best of popular music. Nobody, I say it again, nobody does it better. Far, far away are the rest of them all, excellent performers like Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Perry Como, Al Martino, Frankie Laine, Tony Martin, Dick Haymes. Thanks be to God for giving them to us.

Came out of side door at the London Palladium with his wife and kids, Mary and Nathan dressed in golf clothes and hat. Signed a few autographs for my dad had had a photo taken. He wasn't happy about the flash though. Mary was nice, she hadn't killed JR then.
