Armand is a...complicated character, but I genuinely love him. He does a lot of shit that can't be defended, but he's so complicated and interesting. Just wait until you read Queen of the Damned and read the Devil's Minion chapter. Then you'll know why there's so much chemistry between him and Daniel.

@@log794 1) they're vampires 2) armand has been shown to fuck with louis' memories specifically to make lestat look bad, it is quite probable what we saw in season 1 was not accurate to how it went down 3) EVERYTHING lestat has ever done or said that we have seen up until the storm scene in the last episode has been run through a filter of memory (which is a monster) and Armand (see point 2). and finally, you can adore a character AND not condone their actions. Louis is also a fucked up person. He killed 128 boys just in San Fran, mind you. They are ALL fucked up, even Daniel.

I love Armand. He's an extremely complicated cat in the books. He's vicious and cruel and petty but he's capable of so much depth and empathy when it suits him. In the books you get to really know and understand Armand. They're all monsters and they all do really stupid things all of the time. I think you just have to kind of pick your battles when dealing with these characters in the books. If y'all read the books you'll be able to understand Armand a whole lot more.

I'm not meant to love Santiago, but the brilliant, beautiful Ben Daniels made it impossible not to. ❤️🌷❤️ It's excruciating to keep hearing about missing Lestat, he's not in this part of the book until the end and briefly. Every time we do see him is a gift from the writers, directors, producers and Sam Reid. I am grateful 😘😎 You will get all the Lestat you want in season 3 in The Vampire Lestat. 😮

About Armand, I dont think it has anything to do with loving one character and hating another. you can love a character knowing their flaws and their mistakes and aknowledging they did damage to other characters. I love Louis I love Lestalt I love Claudia and still I fell in love with Armand and his fucked up manipulative ass this season. I wanna know what goes on in that head of his and i hope we get to see more of him, he fascinates me because he is a complex character. All of them are and thats what makes me like them, none of them are perfect. they are messy af

as an armand enjoyer, i doubt any of us genuinely ship louis and armand, armand is just very interesting to think about. i cant quite explain it but the way that his experiences feed into his actions, his identity issues with arun/amadeo/armand, his backstory, and the way he absolutely served cunt in the argument in s2 e5. also from what ive seen most of us have read the books, and specifically most of us are devil's minion fans (the ship between daniel and him.) which !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is actually canon in the books. the ship name comes from a chapter from queen of the damned, and basically him and daniel had a 7y long relationship after the events of the first interview, it was kinda fucked up and toxic- daniel being addicted to vampire blood among other things- but AGAIN just very fun and interesting to think about. ESPECIALLY in the context of the show, in which daniel had his mind erased, meaning this very well could have happened. theres this theory thats HUGE among the devil's minion enjoyers, that some, if not all, of daniel's memories with his ex, alice, are actually memories of armand. (i personally like the "some" theory as i definitely believe alice is a real person.) this theory stems from the scene where louis is trying to get into daniel's head and brings up the night daniel proposed to alice and she said no. its odd because armand is generally a cold and uncaring person (at least outwardly) but in this scene he tries to stop louis, and when daniel is crying armand comforts him. "she wanted to say yes, but she didnt trust you. you hadnt given her a reason to." because also HOW would armand know that? yes vampire can read minds, but based on my understanding of his abilities, he would have had to have been there when it happened, or exerted an enourmous amount of effort to pry that memory from her brain at a continental distance. them knowing what daniel felt makes sense, he is right in front of them and they have been actively looking for a means of breaking him down, but knowing what ALICE felt? seems impossible. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! being a fan of his character does not mean we justify his every action, and LEMME TELL YOU it is so fucking HARD simultaneously being an armand stan and a claudia stan. but ALSO the parallels between the characters are sooooo fun to think about. (she was turned young, just like he had begged his maker for years before being turned. he resents her becuase he feels that she doesnt appreciate the gift of eternal youth that he so desperately wanted. if you factor in his childhood in s-x work, likely only being desired for his own youth. it just. it makes me sad more than mad at him, yk? (this is all speculation on my part btw)) hes just- in my opinion- arguably the most layered character in the show, and one who's gotten very little character focused or "introspective" moments in the show so far, so it gives us more to theorize about as opposed to louis for example. just think about it this way, you guys are maybe not stans, but you apprecite lestat's character at the very least. does this mean you think domestic abuse is okay? i sure fucking hope not. jokes jokes, im sure you guys dont, im pretty sure you guys spoke about it, but it IS a pretty long video and uhm... memory is a monster after all... so im just gonna stop typing now ig...

I really enjoyed your full series review of IWTV! THis is my absolute favorite show on TV right now, and it's so fun to see other people enjoying it and digging your teeth into it - pun intended. Love your blood tear makeup on the final ep! I think I love -all- the characters in this show. Armand is a little weasel, but I do so enjoy watching him - all of the characters are so complex and nuanced with such incredible performances all around. I cannot WAIT until season 3! Have ya'll seen the teaser for S3? It's awesome and makes me so excited for the season! I don't want to wait another year. I was obsessed with the books back in High School in 19[redacted], but it's been years since I've read them - IMHO this series has absolutely managed to replicate the feel of them and uplifted the stories and interwoven the character nuance from later books into the first "book" adaptation. That suit on Lestat, Jesus, he's never looked better & that profile, pretty hot & I'm a lesbian lol No one can script Lestat, he's always going off script. A story of love not butchery. Hmmmm then, finally, the first look between Louis & Lestat.... So Lestat's version is the right one? As far as Claudia's transformation. Holy crap! Armand just sitting there, watching. He was the oldest most powerful vampire there, wtf??? It pissed me off. One of my favorite moments, Lestat moving so fast to the balcony & snarling at that homophobe. Sam Reid's performance was everything, pure brilliance. "I was not worthy of the forgiveness you would grant me." Broke my heart... I would highly recommend you read the books, or listen to them, they're amazing.

Having read, almost 20 years ago😱, only the first three of the Vampire Chronicles (Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned) I have to admit I have always been #TeamLestat🧛 although Louis and Claudia are both amazing characters. Armand is complex too but I don't care about him very much (even though he has his own book). I'm pretty sure you're going to love a certain character named Gabrielle in the future but you'll let us know when the time comes. Couldn't think of a better adaptation and I agree on this being the best TV/platform series today. These binges have been INSANE. You guys are the best video reactors🦇🥳👍

People honestly give the Mayfair Witches show a bad wrap. It’s a bit slow at times but they also didn’t have the same budget. Regardless, I honestly had a great time with it. Plus the book trilogy is sexual terror and body horror the whole time I was like thank the lord they changed so much of it those books are BAD.

Not even 5 minutes in and Daniel's doing what Daniel does best. Calling them allllllll out. The man's got Parkinson's, he refers to himself as "an old man". He gives NO fucks about anything except for pressing for the truth, even if might result in Louie ending him. I don't think Louie expected Daniel to come in for round 2 ready to tear his side of the story UP.

She's Literally an Eternal Child, I don't care how MATURE he mind gets....this is horrible... its like in Anime when creeps "Ok" the fact a chibi or char who looks underage is actually (9000 yrs of age) and an ok to degrade and defile (sexually, violently.)
