Yes, they are not the toys some fans see them as. I covered all mill railways in this series.

You need to be certain. Phone up the mill. Sometimes rain puts it off for a while. Milliquin or Biggera mills are there, Isis Central near Childers.

Mighty little engines! Ingenious how they cross the mainline!

So true. Many Railfans see them as toys, something which most certainly they are not and can have quite complex operational arrangements.

Unfortunately now the bingera mills closed

I think I recall reading that before. It was surprising as there always seemed to be plenty of full cane bins waiting to be unloaded. Maybe the substitute mill had a reduced cane catchment area.

@@tressteleg1I think the next mill after bingera is fairymead but with bingera pretty sure it said it closed in 2020 actually wrong on that fairymead is near Mackay

@@larry92adventure65 I don’t keep a close watch on mill activities so can’t advise either way on what is still there. Certainly some of the closures do seem a bit odd but some could be the result of adjacent mills suddenly coming under the same ownership.

Imagine if someone wanted to rob it
@tressteleg1
@tressteleg1 6 жыл бұрын
Well there is little worth stealing from it, and where they could steal it to is somewhat limited by where the tracks go. 😊

@@tressteleg1 but can people surf it if they wanted to like escape from a abusive person or something
@tressteleg1
@tressteleg1 6 жыл бұрын
I suppose they could sneak aboard and ride it, but that can be dangerous, especially if they fall between carriages. Not recommended. And they will toss you off if they see you get on.
