@@DTRD-uu3tr From an interview with LDP this year he said that we never saw them die on screen, so they can be brought back. In other words they are playing fast and loose with the ending of YG2 because while I could see that Dave may or may not have been beheaded in Mexico, we distinctly saw the spirit horse come for Chavez so he should be dead. But that's cinema for you. However, the movie may never be made as the studio is holding it up.

The fact the billy the kid dont have any death pictures..i think it remains a mystery if the really died..or pat let him go.death pictures of outlaws during those days are pretty common..esp.famous outlaws..how come billy didnt have one if he really died.

I've always theorized that Pete Maxwell shot Billy because he didn't want him messing around with his sister, Paulita Maxwell. And I think Pat took the credit for it so he could write that book. Just my own theory.

Also I'm just trying to figure how they can do Young guns 3, I still believe billy the kid is still alive and so is Pat Garrett. the other cast members had been killed off. I don't see how can be a Young guns part part 3, unless it's a reboot and I hope that's not the case. I'm thinking maybe billy they kid got some new riders in his pack.

Exactly. Chavez suffered a mortal wound when he was shot in the stomach, that's how he stumbled outside from the bar and died in the back in the grass. Hence the spirit horse coming for him. Dave rudabaugh died in old Mexico he was beheaded. So I have no idea how they're going to do Young guns 3.

Until someone exhumes the body and does a DNA test we'll never know for sure. However, I'd like to give the lawmen of the 1880s the benefit of the doubt and therefore I think that Roberts was lying. Why he'd lie, who knows? He died soon anyway so not like he had much to gain.
