@@olisk-jy9rz Sure, that was his arrogance, but I liked Tony when he was arrogant for moments like this. Unfortunately, his ego inflated too much at the end, that he got blind by it and acted foolish. Although it wasn't just ego and lack of interaction that killed him, but also lack of evil too.

After seeing this film from it's debut way back in '83, Elvira was Tony's muse. Yes an epitome trophy wife but more like his inspiration. His reason. Though she was vacuous, he saw more depth in her that his brand of spark only could spotlight. Their sparks were fun to watch though. Haven't seen this in a long time.

Elvira did like Tony in that moment that she got a rise out of him by calling him a criminal. Also, she seemed allured as Tony kept going on about how attractive she is. Well, at least initially anyway.😅 Either way, she was a terrible choice for Tony. A guy like Tony who is a hot head yet not a lecher really needs a grounded woman who can bring out the best in him. However, he cleary liked chasing hot storms, and "she's on fire🔥..." Edit: Now that I think about it, Elvira was likely the personification of both the American Dream and [the 1% of] America. That's why Tony wanted to tame her.

It made me sad to hear Tony say he wanted the world when he could never get it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

@@jostockton.to be the man whom killed her husband and a drug lord is to "step up and work hard" to earn her affection? Too much for a trophy wife... True is you don't need to have a high status or wealth, just need to fucking get confidence and charisma.
