It probably would not have worked. Because even though Anck-Su-Namun's organs may have survived over 3,000 years of preservation, they would eventually turn to dust and Imhotep would still use Evy as a sacrifice for Anck-Su-Namun to live again.

@@antcunningham1997 oh it’s definitely comical I just don’t think it makes any sense. The others didn’t need more time bought, and surely he didn’t realistically think he’d be able to cut through the mob and reach Imhotep, he had every reason to get in the sewer with the others
