I like Holly Walsh but I’m five minutes in and I feel they’ve given her far too much screen time

I feel like it in someway has to do with Romesh' mom lol the first cut was when she was introduced and the second and i think a 3rd time was when Romesh asked his mom a question.

Where do you get your information? I live in FL and I've NEVER heard of putting a pickle on a tree. The choir was wonderful. This video freezes for ages at the beginning when Holly is introduced.
@go-godollie23357 ай бұрын
the pickle is a German thing, i was always told -and was gifted a pickle ordainment saying as such on the package. Maybe its a combo of german/american tradition. lols i'm in wny and we have the largest celebration of Dyngus day, in the world ie polish catholic american stir-fry tradition. so i'm guessing the QI elves didn't follow up on the pickle🤣
@go-godollie23357 ай бұрын
certain pauses and/or re-framing of uploading videos throws off algorithms of copy written material, and normally not fully, if ever caught, on different copyright laws in different countrie's channels and also requirements lining up with different countries youtube policies, in a nutshell

There were very good HD versions of all XL seasons on various channels. Now they have been taken down surely because of copyright and this is the "official" replacement of abysmal quality. Yet another example of corporate greed

@@Merina1955No, sorry, nobody over here in Germany did or does hang a pickle in their tree (except nowadays for fun because people in America think we do, while we don't actually but now sometimes do :D ).
@Merina19555 ай бұрын
@@MissSeyton not sure which part of Germany you are located but trust me… my family has done it for several generations, a tradition my great-great grandfather Austin Lantz brought with him from Germany! He said that families who were too poor to have glass ornaments would put whatever fruits and/or vegetables they had on their trees, and that included pickles. Also, I have quite a few very old, original kugels from Lauscha, Germany. I have grapes, pears, an apple, and several pine cones.

Absolutely no reason to watch a video when you don't know what is going on because it freezes multiple times throughout and cuts out large portions of dialogue.
@rickropka629 Жыл бұрын
I grew up in Pennsylvania and we learned that the Pickle in the Christmas Tree was an old German Tradition...a joke sort of....that a Pickle was hidden in the tree and someone would find it. They'd win the pickle and some other treat as a prize. It was part of the Christmas party....along with bobbing for apples and other games... That's it. Nothing about the Civil War or prison camps......
@quokka0.0nraven11 ай бұрын
I've never heard of it frankly 😂

I used to wrap my ex wife's presents in the Sunday Comics. I would save them through the year and she would always throw out the comic pages from he months leading up to Christmas. She gave up after reading the date on one gift's paper was from July one year.
