I was seriously afraid he might bight it off. But he keeps recoiling.. animals are keenly aware of territory and personal space, so to speak. It was like he was hitting some electric fence that he couldn't walk past, some personal aura surrounding her. This sudden appearance of a foreign territory in the middle of his abode is disturbing, I'm sure! Of course trying to steal her water completely contradicts that :))

I remember Bingo reacted like this when he first saw himself in the mirror. I think all that chuffing and posturing is just nervousness. Awwwww... Belle is so sweet guys!!! Congratulations on your new little baby girl!!! Bingo is just too funny!!! I’ve been wanting a baby otter myself but, my husband keeps telling me no... We have the perfect home to have one, including a saltwater in ground swimming pool that’s caged in & plenty of room to roam & run around outdoors!!! But nope, he won’t let me have an Otter!!! We have Otters in waterway behind our house all the time here in Florida & their so cute... But, their wild Otters... Well, much luck & love with little Belle!!! I’m sure by now, her & Bingo are getting along just fine!!! 💗

These otters are freshwater, so the saltwater swimming pool would not work for them. Plus they are a lot of work and illegal in many areas. Better to enjoy the otters on youtube!

Don't forget to introduce Belle to fish and other seafood now when she's little, or you end up with another weird fish-disliking otter.
