Monolithic Domes in the US has been using this method for many decades. I'd never heard of Bini - thanks for the new info! ❤️. Please cover GeoShips domes, with their ceramic shells. 🙏

Not good in cold climates (including during the winter)

I've been searching for a sustainable, affordable, and local-source building method for an Earthship style home & greenhouse. Binishells are an attractive option, especially using hempcrete and/or cellular concrete (aircrete). I want to backfill the high side of the slope over multiple French drains for collection of ground water and to reduce hydraulic pressure on 3/4 of the dome. So I need a very stong structure. With the 1960's era Patent, will there be any fees to be paid to the Bini business to use their method in 2025? If so, it will be an economic factor in my analysis. If anyone has had experience with Patents & Patent owners, please advise. Thank you.

That's so funny, the main thing that I had in mind while watching this video is : Will it work with hempcrete? And seeing the first comment talking about hempcrete means that I am not the only one having that concept in mind. However I don't know if it will be feasible. Hempcrete is not as liquid as regular concrete and requires tamping. I don't think it will be be possible with the plastic membrane. You might need to have a first layer of reinforced concrete applied first.

@siwo972 Thank you for your reply! The requirement for tamping would be mitigated by pouring into forms and making blocks like the aircrete block method seen on DomeGaia's website and KZbin channel. Also Aircrete Harry's KZbin channel details his inflatable dome and gunnite method, as well as his EPICrete strength testing. I'm considering a combination of methods.

A revolution building has been around since the 50s. This exact same technique

Load of BS. Just uses a heap of plastic on top of the cocrete.
