Thank you. Definitely need a drought for that hill, have you seen the walking reports of those who did it in the wet 😂 I spent a good hour on the way back trying to get a photo of a curlew but alas it was not to be.

Nice one Alice, another gudn to be had, easy to forget about Durham, and being in Burnopfield it would make sense to remember it ha ha. really enjoyed this. Cheers

Weardale and Teesdale have some lovely hikes. Not as many tops as Northumberland but I would say despite the bog, just as nice views. Mickle Fell was my favourite one, really stunning walk to do and I was very fortunate with the weather. I enjoyed James Hill too because my daughter came with me for that one and it was lovely to catch her enjoying the views. It is one of the few walks we have done where she hasn't complained, that one and when we did the river Tweed (a coming episode of the Grand Tour). She always enjoys the walks but she is a bit like me, she likes to have a bit of a grumble during the walk, but is always glad to have done it.

Thank you for the kind comment, did you notice I uploaded another episode of the Grand Tour also... finally found myself with a bit of time to do some editing. Although I have to admit it has taken feeling under the weather with a lot of pain from toothache of all things to get me to switch off from work. I'll try and get some more done when I can though. I am working hard to try and get promotion at work so that I can fund my surgery but it feels like an impossible dream. But like every big hike, you just keep putting one foot in front of the other until you reach the goal and then you look back at what you achieved.
