If you can somehow reverse the chirality midway through, you could potentially have the gripper tuck under itself. This would allow for much greater pulling power. In rope, a single tuck like that can hold until the rope breaks.

@@igorigor3960 I'm a 15 year old italian guy who just has a shit ton of interest in science, do you think I'd have the capacity to not only copy this guy but also to make a kickstarter and actually make it work? On top of that artificial muscles like these already exist and are all open source. Would you mind not being a pain in the ass? That would be just fine
