Ireland has over 100 wild bees, and one third of them are under threat due to the loss of habitat that provides them with food and shelter. In this video, All-Ireland Pollinator Plan co-founder Dr. Úna FitzPatrick gives an introduction to Ireland's bees and the threats they face.
This video is the first in a series for World Bee Day 2022, which gives an introduction to Ireland's pollinators, the threats they face, what we can do to help them and how we can record them.

The All-Ireland Pollinator Plan is implemented by the National Biodiversity Data Centre, which is a programme of the Heritage Council and is operated under a service level agreement by Compass Informatics. The Biodiversity Data Centre is funded by the Heritage Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
